CRISIS AS NRC RECORDED MASSIVE OVERLOAD OF PASSENGERS ON TRAIN

On Friday 6 Jan. 17, there was crisis as NRC recoded massive overload passengers on train.
This could be as a result of the festive season, but it was rumored that the schedule for Tuesday was skipped due to lack of preparation which later emanated to twice the normal population on Friday.

Nigeria  railway corporation Is an enterprise with the right to operate railways in Nigeria, it operates a network of 3,505 kilometers (2,178 mi) of single track lines, all have 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in) gauge; and it schedule for interstate traveling via train is as follow..
Lagos - Ilorin (Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays)
Ilorin - Lagos (Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays)
Lagos - Kano (Every Friday)
Kano - Lagos (Every Monday)
But it was a sad news on Friday as there was occurrence of severe sickness, injuries and death due to the massive overload of passengers of over 1500 traveling down to the northern part of the country.

The incident got aggravated when a guy went to report of a sick man to the train official few hours after a man died, only to get himself beaten and injured; he got into a fight with one of the officials claiming the official replied with "if he want to die, let him die".     Hmm! What a way to start the new year...
