FACEBOOK SCAM; A Nigerian to be canned,fined and sentenced if found guilty

A Nigerian man pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court in Malaysia yesterday to two counts charges of cheating two women, whom he befriended on Facebook, thereby induced RM10,500 from them.
Collins Sparklys Obianke, 33, who entered the country using a student pass, was charged Before magistrate Mohd Azali, with cheating S. Vanitha, 31, by promising her that he could supply a package containing a mobile phone, three pairs of shoes, three necklaces, a laptop, suitcase and other items, as well as money in the amount of US$20,000 which prompted Vanitha to deposit RM7,500 into a Maybank account owned by Mislia Jamaat on Aug 24.
Before magistrate Salamiah, Obianke was charged with inducing Foo Pooi Yun, 38, to deposit RM3,000 into Noor Idawati Abdul Hamid's Maybank account using the same modus operandi, at Bukit Puchong, on Sept 14
For both offences, the accused was charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code which provides for a prison sentence of up to 10 years and caning as well as a fine, if found guilty.
Mohd Azali set bail at RM5,000 with in surety and Salamiah at RM6,000 also in one surety.
The court also ordered Obianke to surrender his passport and fixed Feb 19 for mention.
